Bishop Evans Scholarship Program

The Bishop Evans Scholarship Program is a part of the University of Notre Dame Endowment that recognizes the contributions of University Alumni living in Denver, CO and the surrounding area.

Earnings from the Bishop Evans Scholarship Fund (BESF) are made available to students from the Notre Dame Club of Denver area as part of their total financial aid package, giving the NDCD a chance to directly help in the financial backing of students from the area.

Read below to learn of the two ways that Alumni and friends can contribute to the Bishop Evans Scholarship Fund.

Contributing to the BESF directly through the University

First, University Alumni can make their donations directly to the University. By designating that the contribution be deposited in the Bishop Evans Scholarship Fund, your check paid directly to the University is credited to the BESF. Such a designation will serve to increment the amount of funding available to the Notre Dame Club of Denver in support of local students.

Such a designation has no effect on the contribution or the contributor.

  1. The money goes into the University of Notre Dame Endowed Scholarship Fund just as it would if no such designation were attached.
  2. Contributors receive the same credit for the contribution toward the football lottery that they will receive absent any designation for the BESF.

Contributing to the BESF through the Notre Dame Club of Denver

Notre Dame Club of Denver members and friends can contribute to the BESF through the Notre Dame Club of Denver. When you pay by check, or make an online payment to the BESF, the NDCD forwards those designated funds to the University for deposit into the University Endowed Scholarship Fund. The Denver Club will make its best efforts to identify the source of the funds so please be sure to always identify yourself when donating. In this manner credit for the donation accrues to the Denver Club Member who makes the donation.

The money that you contribute to the Bishop Evans Scholarship program by any of the above methods, counts towards eligibility in the football ticket lottery.
